Garda Tom moves on

This week is the final one for our local Garda Tom O'Donoghue to do duty in Kilcullen, writes Brian Byrne.

Now a Sergeant, he has been transferred out to take over the station in Castledermot.

Garda Tom has spent all his working life so far in the Kildare area; Newbridge, Naas, Ballymore and Kilcullen. His community-focused style of policing has been effective and encouraged a respect for An Garda. He's pictured above with a group of CPC students to whom he talked about his job last November.

We wish him well in the new stage of his career.
