M9 lanes to close for repairs

The northbound lanes of the M9 motorway are to be closed for five days from next Monday between the Athy and Kilcullen junctions.

The closure is to facilitate pavement surfacing works.

It will begin at 9am on Monday 10 August and is scheduled to end at 4pm on Friday 14 August.

Diversions will be in place and Northbound traffic will be required to exit at Junction 3 (Athy) and continue along the N78 towards Athy, then along the R418 towards Kilcullen, rejoining the M9 Motorway at Junction 2 (Kilcullen).

Diversionary Routes, which will be clearly signposted, will be in place for the duration of the works.

These works are being carried out under the National Roads Authority Motorway Maintenance and Renewals Contract; any queries should be directed to the Motorway Traffic Control Centre, Tel: 0818 715 100 or email operator@nraits.ie.
