Newbridge Silverware Museum a top attraction

The Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons achieved number seven in the Top Ten Free Attractions in Ireland in 2014, writes Brian Byrne.

In the list of visitor attractions published by Failte Ireland, the Museum registered 350,000 visitors in the category, which was led by the National Gallery of Ireland with 593,183.

The top Fee-Charging Attraction was the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin with almost 1.3m visitors, followed by the Cliffs of Moher and Dublin Zoo with just over 1m each.

The Museum of Style Icons hosts numerous collections and artefacts relating to Stars of the Silver Screen and many modern day artists - including Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Princess Grace, Princess Diana, Michael Jackson, Michael Flatley, the Beatles and many more.
