Great Summer Camp at St Joseph's NS

The Summer Camp at St Joseph's NS in Halverstown went off with a bang this week, writes Marion Sherlock, the school's Principal.

The camp was organised by parents Dairiena O'Brien and Kate Steed with the help of some additional volunteers. The children got to enjoy a range of activities from sports with David O'Brien to arts and crafts with Kate Steed and baking with Dairiena O'Brien.

Other parents provided equipment and helped with the clean-up afterwards. All the parents provided their time and energy on a voluntary basis. The funds raised will be used to paint murals on the car-park wall.

And yes, you guessed it, the same individuals are away to get their painting brushes out. Many thanks to all the parents who are so generous with their time and so enthusiastic to brighten up the school grounds. I can't wait to see the end product.
