Want to work in a special place?

The Bridge Camphill Community is looking for a Coffee Shop/Bakery Coordinator to run what has long been the most popular cafe in town.

It's a special job in a special place, and whoever takes it on will be special too. It's a part-time job, 16 hours a week, but needing someone who is committed to the long haul and prepared to take a lot of diversions at short notice.

"The café is part of a community with people with special needs, who are involved in the work and running of this special venture and an integral part of it," says Ben Gamble, to whom applications should be addressed. "It is a direct interface between customers and several members of our community with people with special needs. If you have a passion for service and organic food, love working with people with special needs and thrive on working in a job that is requiring many different skills this might be for you."

Candidates should have experience in catering and service to the public. An ability to understand people with special needs and to motivate and support them in a work environment is essential.

For further information contact Ben Gamble at An Tearmann, The Bridge Camphill Community, Main Street, Kilcullen. Phone 045 / 481597 or e-mail thebridge@camphill.ie.

A detailed job description/person specification is available at camphill.ie/thebridge/employment-vacancies.

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) works to create sustainable intentional communities where children and adults of all abilities, many with special needs, can live learn and work with others in healthy social relationships based on mutual care and respect.
