Pete Cummins in the BAG

Sandwiched between the weekend, and St Patrick's Day on Tuesday, Pete Cummins' BAG appearance in Mick Murphy's, Ballymore Eustace, on Monday night is the perfect way to fill in the gap and complete the holiday weekend, writes Roy Thompson of the Ballymore Acoustic Gigs.

The former Fleadh Cowboy returns in support of his new, and second, solo record 'Crooked Highway' — I've had a good listen, and it's a fine record.

From his days touring with Donovan in the '60s, and his days with 'Granny's Intentions' and 'The Fleadh Cowboys' (with such other notable characters as Frankie Lane), Pete Cummins has been one of Ireland's foremost exponents of roots/folk music with a flavour of Americana.

Doors open 8:30pm; Gig 9:15pm sharp. Admission: €12. More info here.
