Local launch for Hazel's new book today

The local launch for Hazel Gaynor's second novel, 'A Memory of Violets', will take place in Barker and Jones, Poplar Square, Naas, this afternoon, writes Brian Byrne. The time is 3-5pm.

The story of the book is based on the flower sellers in Victorian London, and was published in the US last month by HarperCollins.

Her debut novel, 'The Girl Who Came Home', was a best-seller in the US.

The main Irish launch was in Dubray Books on Grafton Street in Dublin on Thursday evening last.

Yorkshire-born Hazel Hazel began her own voyage to author success with a blog written from her home in Kilcullen, 'Hot Cross Mum'. She is currently working on a third novel, and a contribution to an anthology of fiction based in WW1.
