Get on yer bike (if necessary) to the Bus Campaign meeting

A reminder for an important meeting this week for everybody in Kilcullen who uses the diminishing bus services through the town, writes Brian Byrne.

It takes place in the Assembly Hall in Athy Community College, on Thursday at 8pm.

Anne Graham, CEO of the National Transport Authority, will attend the meeting, and all local public representatives are expected to support local concerns about recent and planned cuts by both private and state operators on the route.

The issue has already been brought to the Dail by the intervention of local TDs, but only a strong showing of concern will nudge those with responsibility to do anything.

The organisers are a joint committee of bus action groups, including the Athy, Castlecomer and N9/Castledermot groups.
