St Josephs pupils funds for Make A Wish

Yesterday we had our annual charity breakfast morning in aid of Make A Wish Foundation, writes Marion Sherlock of Halverstown NS.

Fifth and Sixth class pupils organised the event. They sourced and cooked breakfast for 130 people including parents grandparents and siblings. Breakfast was cooked by pupils under the direction of parents. Fourth class pupils waited on the tables. All other pupils teachers and participants met at the Round Tower in Old Kilcullen at 9am.

Nessa Dunlea and Mary Orford delivered a short talk on the history of the tower before the walk back to school commenced. Escorted by Gardai on a very foggy morning, the group walked down old Kilcullen and down the main road back to school. The smell of cooked sausages and rashers was very welcome on arrival.

€200 has been received so far in donations. Congratulations to all pupils on such a wonderful achievement
