Footpath repairs 'awaiting landowner permissions'

Kildare County Council is waiting for permissions from the various landowners through which a footpath passes before repairing it, Naas MD councillors were told yesterday afternoon, writes Brian Byrne.

That was the response from the Council to a motion by Cllr Billy Hillis asking if the 'very important' footpath through the Sports Centre campus could be repaired.

The response noted that councillors and local representatives had met with the District Engineer on the site, and that development levies which have been paid in relation to the extension to Scoil Bhride may facilitate 'some' of these works.
