Wall almost done

Keep an eye on the Cross & Passion tomorrow, as the final touches are put in place on the lowered wall and railings, writes Brian Byrne.

The builder's fence may well come down before the weekend, but failing that will certainly be gone on Monday.

There was a small difficulty in getting a Tyrolean finish to fill the small cracks in the wall surface, and a bigger one in getting a 'gun' to use the stuff, which is no longer used as a finish on walls and houses.

Then the only bit available was the wrong colour. But a wash of cement over it is getting the uniform gray that's required.

Next are lights to illuminate the grounds and building at night.
